In de zomer kan het in Bulgarije erg warm zijn. De periode dat wij er waren (begin juni) was ideaal omdat de sneeuw dan
al grotendeels is verdwenen en de temperatuur nog aangenaam. Houdt er wel rekening mee dat er rond deze tijd nog veel meer
sneeuw kan liggen. De hogere gedeelten kunnen dan alleen worden gedaan als je voldoende bergsportervaring in de groep hebt.
Het is aan te raden in deze periode een lichtgewicht pickel mee te nemen.
In summer it can be very hot in Bulgaria. The period that we were there (beginning of June) was ideal because the
snow has vanished for the main part and the temperature is pleasant. Please note that it is possible that around this time
there is much more snow. The higher parts then only can be done if there is enough mountain experience in the group. I advise
to bring a light weight ice axe in this period.

Woordenboeken / Dictionaries
In de gewone boekhandel zijn geen woordenboeken Nederlands-Bulgaars te vinden. Daarvoor moet je zijn bij de
gespecialiseerde uitgeverij Pegasus. Hun Bulgarije aanbod staat op deze pagina met ook boeken vanuit het Duits en Engels naar het Bulgaars.
Hun kleinste woordenboek Nederlands-Bulgaars is op dit moment (augustus 2003) het boek van Sonia Okhuyzen-Petkova (in twee
richtingen), helaas is het wel wat groot en zwaar. Toch heb ik met veel plezier gebruik van gemaakt.
In the usual bookshops no dictionaries Dutch-Bulgarian are to be found. For that you should go to the specialized
bookseller Pegasus. Their Bulgarian books are on this page with also books from German and English into Bulgarian. Their
smallest dictionary Dutch-Bulgarian at this moment (August 2003) is the book of Sonia Okhuyzen-Petkova (in two directions),
however, it is somewhat big and heavy. I used it with pleasure.
